The person behind the songs

My Story

I’m Chris, the person behind LiThBaNd. I write songs for people carrying things they do not always know how to say out loud

Chris, the artist behind LiThBaNd

LiThBaNd is not a character I invented. It is where I put the parts of real life I spent years keeping inside

Family First

I am an Iowa husband and father. Family is at the center of almost everything I write, whether the song is about love, regret, fear, responsibility, or the small moments that become the memories we keep

More Than Twenty Years In

I have spent more than twenty years working factory floors, wearing steel-toed boots, and learning what it means to trade time and energy for a paycheck. That life is not background decoration in the music. It is part of the truth behind it

Music Found Me Again

I stepped away from music when I was eighteen. At forty-one, I started writing again. That return taught me that dreams do not always die. Sometimes they wait until you are finally ready to tell the truth

Real Music For Real Life

I write about factory burnout, fatherhood, marriage, memory, anxiety, financial pressure, love, grief, and the strange feeling of building a life while still trying to understand yourself inside it

Why LiThBaNd

The name became a place for everything I could not fit into normal conversation. It holds the heavier thoughts, the honest questions, and the songs that come from trying to be a husband, a father, a worker, and still remain a person with something left to say

I do not write from a perfect life. I write from the middle of one

I Stopped Waiting To Feel Ready

For a long time, I believed music belonged to a younger version of me. Starting again at forty-one meant accepting that I might never feel completely ready and doing it anyway

Every song since then has been proof that beginning late is still beginning

It is not about fame. It is about truth. It is about creating something honest enough that another person hears it and feels less alone

Two Chapters Of The Same Life

Before I’m Gone came from the fear of letting work, pressure, and time bury the part of me that still wanted to create something meaningful

Kitchen Table Math goes deeper into the life built around that struggle: bills, marriage, fatherhood, old wounds, burnout, love, and the nightly calculations that never quite add up

For The Person Who Feels Too Much

I am not trying to sound distant or untouchable. I want the music to feel like someone sat down beside you and admitted they have felt it too

That is the whole point of LiThBaNd. Real music for real life
