When Beyond Ashes shared the story behind “Monster,” they explained that it began as a Halloween-themed idea but grew into something more personal. Beneath the seasonal imagery is the feeling of losing touch with yourself and wondering what might be taking over. That combination lets the song work as both a fun dark-rock track and a moment of genuine self-reflection.
Curator note:
“Monster” uses its Halloween theme as more than decoration. Beyond Ashes turns the idea of a creature taking over into a reflection on those moments when you no longer feel completely like yourself. Its darker alternative-rock presentation allows it to work as both a seasonal track and something listeners can connect with beyond October.
